9.3

Forming the DC link capacitors

Overview

DC link capacitors must be reformed for Line Modules that have been in storage for more than 
2 years. If this is not performed, the components could be damaged when they are switched on.

Requirement

DC link capacitors of components for which the storage period of 2 years has been exceeded 
must be reformed.

• The storage period is calculated from the date of manufacture and not from the date that the 

equipment was shipped.

• Refer to the serial number on the rating plate for the date of manufacture.
