Humidity
NOTICE
Component damage caused by condensation
Condensation on the components can cause them to fail.
• Select the air circuit and arrangement of the cooling equipment in such a way that no
condensation can form on the components.
• If required, an anti-condensation heater must be installed in the cabinet.
When using air-conditioning units, the relative humidity of the air that is discharged can increase
as a result of the air being cooled in the air-conditioning unit. Under certain circumstances, the
humidity can exceed the dew point.
• To avoid condensation, arrange the air-conditioning units so that cold discharged air is not
directly blown onto the components.
• If required, use air guidance baffles to ensure that the air is adequately mixed with the air
inside the control cabinet. Mixing with warm air reduces the relative humidity down to
uncritical values.
