HMI or ES via Ethernet (external access)
A complex interconnection with several HMI/ESs is only possible using an Ethernet
communication. This allows both an external HMI/ES to access several SIMOTION devices
and a SIMOTION device to access another one (to display production data, for example).

Model: Networking via Ethernet
Using Ethernet, several services are possible on a SIMOTION device:
●
HMI software
ProTool/Pro, WinCC flexible or OPC server can use Ethernet to access one or a number
of SIMOTION devices.
●
SIMOTION SCOUT Engineering Software
SIMOTION SCOUT can also use Ethernet to access one or a number of SIMOTION
devices.
●
SIMOTION IT
The SIMOTION devices support communication with standard IT protocols (HTTP) over
the integrated Ethernet interface. This makes it possible to use intranet/Internet from any
location to access data or diagnostic information in the SIMOTION devices.
Note
Further details are contained in the
SIMOTION IT Ethernet-based HMI and Diagnostic
Function manual.
