Step 1: Software Installation
The following files must be modified on the Management Server computer:
The
hosts
file
The
twms.properties
file
In some cases (e.g., when the computer is not part of or not logged in to
a domain), the Management Server configuration file:
ETMManagementServer.cfg
(Solaris) or
ETMManagementService.cfg
(Windows)
To edit the Management Server hosts file
1.
On the Management Server computer, open the
hosts
file in a text
editor. The default location for the hosts file is the following:
Solaris
/etc
Windows 2000
C:\WinNT\system32\drivers\etc
Windows 2003
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc

At the end of the file, add a line mapping the Management Server's
internal IP address to the fully qualified host name in the following
format:
<ETMServerIPaddress> <ETMServerhostname>
For example, if the Management Server computer is named "Zephyr" in
the domain "topaz.com," you might type
192.168.12.9 Zephyr.topaz.com
