Appendix D: Database Directories and File Names Reference
When installed on Windows, the Windows Service created for the database
has a name in the format:
OracleService<ORACLE_SID>
By default, the locations of the data files are the standard locations as
specified by the Oracle Flexible Architecture specification. Unless a special
requirement is dictated by the installation, it is not necessary to change the
file locations. Unless a specific site requires you to conform to a specific
naming convention, it is not necessary to change the default file names of
the data files.
