Click on the <

In the use RAID window, select settings of RAID and click on the <

Use/Not Used : You can select whether or not to use the RAID mode.

•

Level5/Level6 : It shows the type of RAID supported by the NVR.

It will show the list of HDDs that compose a RAID. In the RAID screen, click on <

The data deletion and system rebooting message window will appear. You can click on the <

> button to

reboot the system for RAID mode setting.

When RAID building is complete, select <

Setup

> - <

Storage device

> - <

rAid

> to check the

build.

When you build the RAID in level 5, the available capacity of a RAID is (the least HDD capacity) x (total number of HDDs -1).

When you build the RAID in level 6, the available capacity of a RAID is (the least HDD capacity) x (total number of HDDs -2).

If you use HDDs with different capacity, the HDD with the smallest capacity will be used to build a RAID.

If you deactivate the RAID mode, all the RAID will be deselected. If you want to select a single RAID to be canceled, a

particular RAID to be deactivated may be selected in the setup window.

If the status of HDD is displayed as inspected/replaced in the device/format page, you cannot use it to build a RAID.

When a RAID is being built, recording will be stopped.

The greater the HDD capacity is, the longer it takes to finish building a RAID.

If you enable or disable the RAID mode, existing data will be deleted.

You make sure to backup your data.
