Calculation of Total Power
Accura 2300S supports two methods for calculation of the total power based on power per phase. One
is to calculate the total power based on the vector sum of 3-phase apparent power. And the other is to
calculate the total power based on the arithmetic sum of magnitudes of 3-phase apparent power
vectors. Refer to
「
Chapter 5 Measurement >Three-Phase Power Measurement
」
for details.
Setup Range
Description
UEct (default)
Vector sum
ScaLa
Arithmetic sum
Power Factor Sign
The sign of the power factor is determined according to the sign of active power, and it makes it
possible to find out whether power has been received or delivered. However, when displaying the
power factor only as an absolute value, configure the sign as
「
oFF
」
. The available max/min value of the
power factor is the max/min value of the absolute value of the power factor regardless of the PF sign
settings.
Setup Range
Description
on (default)
Displays an actual power factor value with a sign
oFF
Displays an absolute power factor value without a sign
Power Factor Display at No Load
When apparent power is zero(no-load state), the power factor is not calculated with a formula. In this
case, you can set up power factor to be displayed as 1 or 0. For details, refer to
「
Chapter 5
Measurement > Power Factor Measurement
」
.
Setup Range
Description
1.0 (default)
Displays power factor as 1.0 with no load
0.0
Displays power factor as 0.0 with no load
