This bulletin supersedes bulletin #RD0A5005.
Instead of reissuing bulletin #RD0A5005, it was superseded for the following reasons.

Engine f/w ver. 1.53:07 enables printing on rough surfaced paper at the rated speed
even with AC transfer bias applied at the PTR – no decrease in productivity. This in
turn increases the risk of flipping the PTR cleaning blade. To prevent the blade from
flipping, refer to ‘Important note on replacing the PTR cleaning components.’

Printing White undercoated jobs in 1-pass with the Black and White toner bottles
swapped was found to work only with smooth surfaced paper print quality wise, thus
adjustment procedures were changed/added.

NOTE:

From ver. 1.53:07, the ‘shock-jitter canceller’ function is automatically disabled
under certain conditions. (See Appendix 1 for detail.)

It is recommended to use 1-pass White undercoated only when the surface of
the media is very smooth, like metallic paper or gloss-coated paper.
