SYMPTOM
Gloss streaks in solid images
Density differential in halftone images
CAUSE
Burrs on the paper edges cause scratches on the fusing belt, which affect the prints when
jobs are printed on a media having a larger size than the media that originally caused
scratches on the belt.
The symptom tends to appear on middle-thick or thicker coated media.
SOLUTION
Do the flowchart(s) on the following pages.
Enable the automatic fusing belt smoothing operation. (See notes described in the last
two pages of this bulletin.)
