2461Type C User Manual
Programming The Type C Function Card 4-36
Racal Instruments
1998
EXAMPLE:
″
MEASure2:PHASe? 100
″
Instructs the 2461 TYPE C to measure the phase difference
between the waveform applied to the channel 2 input and
that applied to channel 1 input.

MEASure:CHECk?
[<expected value>, <resolution>]
DESCRIPTION:
This command connects the standard frequency in use to the
counting input and takes frequency measurements. The
higher the resolution selected, the longer the gate time and
hence more of the counting chain is checked. The result
must be 10 MHz exactly for no error. Note that this function
can return the error –300 (“Basic self-check failure”) in place
of the 10MHz result to indicate certain hardware failures.
The optional <expected value> and <resolution> parameters
are used to derive the required number of digits of resolution.
Their units are Hertz.
INITIALIZATION:
*RST Resolution = 8
Array size = 1
EXAMPLE:
″
MEASure:CHECk?
″
Instructs the 2461 TYPE C to measure the standard
frequency and returns the result of the measurement.
MEASure?
[<expected value>, <resolution>]
DESCRIPTION:
Starts a new measurement cycle without re-configuring the
instrument’s measurement function (i.e. the function used is
that specified by the last CONFigure, SENSe or MEASure
command). Similarly, the number of measurements taken
depend on the <array size> parameter previously specified
with the last CONFigure or MEASure commands.
The optional <expected value> and <resolution> parameters
are used to derive the required number of digits of resolution.
Their units depend on the currently selected measurement
