[LENS HOME POSITION] can also be executed by pressing the <DEFAULT> button on the remote control while the lens shift adjustment
screen is displayed.

The home position varies depending on the projection lens type. For details, refer to “Lens shift range” (

page 77).
[ACTIVE FOCUS OPTIMIZER]
Enable/disable the active focus optimizer function. The shift in focus caused by the change of the image
brightness can be reduced by enabling this function. It will also reduce the shift in focus right before enabling the
shutter function (shutter: closed) and right after disabling the shutter function (shutter: opened).

to select [ACTIVE FOCUS OPTIMIZER].

[OFF]
Disables the active focus optimizer function.

Enables the active focus optimizer function.

[ACTIVE FOCUS] cannot be set when the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu

[LENS TYPE] is set to [NOT SELECTED].

When this function is set to [ON], the focus adjustment (adjustment of the focus position of the lens) is automatically performed when the
brightness of the image changes. Note following especially when constructing multi-display using multiple projectors such as using the edge
blending function by setting the [ADVANCED MENU] menu
→
[EDGE BLENDING].

Position of the projected image may slightly shift due to the amount of focus adjustment.
g
The projected image may slightly undulate during the focus adjustment.

When this function is set to [ON], driving sound of the focus adjustment motor may be audible when the brightness of the image changes.
f
When this function is set to [ON], the setting status of [ACTIVE FOCUS OPTIMIZER] ([ON]) is displayed in the focus adjustment screen.

The active focus optimizer function operates within the range of focus adjustment. It may not operate properly when used close to the limit
value for the focus adjustment.
f
The active focus optimizer function may not correctly operate when the optional Lens Fixed Attachment (Model No.: ET-PLF10) is attached.
Do not press the lens fixing clasp of the Lens Fixed Attachment too strong against the projection lens.

The value of the parameter used by the active focus optimizer function is displayed as [FOCUS OFFSET BRIGHT] and [FOCUS OFFSET
DARK].

Parameter for [FOCUS OFFSET BRIGHT] and [FOCUS OFFSET DARK] will be the factory default value set for each type of projection lens
in following cases.

To reduce the shift in focus caused by the change in the brightness of the image, set [FOCUS OFFSET BRIGHT] and [FOCUS OFFSET
DARK] following the guidance in [SETUP ASSISTANT]. For details, refer to “Performing simplified setting using the internal test pattern”
(

page 152), “Performing simplified setting using the external input image” (
x
page 153).

[ACTIVE FOCUS] will be set to [OFF] when the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu

[INITIALIZE]
