Error Codes and Countermeasures
The error codes that are generated in the event of a reading NG, and their countermeasures, are listed
here in error code order.

Description
Countermeasures
E100
No Finder Pattern
No finder patterns were detected.
• Check if any pattern is registered.
A finder pattern may not be registered.
E110
Finder Pattern Over
Multiple candidate points have been detected
for the finder pattern.
• Increase the correlation value.
• Check the printing of the reading code.
• The position of finder patterns can be con-
firmed on the monitor when
Display set-
tings/FP & Cell position
is turned ON.
• Register the pattern again.
The registered pattern may not be the opti-
mum one.
E120
Decode Error
(Timing pattern detection
error)
Codes were restored to correct errors, but not
decoded correctly. The timing patterns in the X
or Y directions may be stained or damaged.
• Check the condition of the timing pattern.
• Check the matrix size setting.
The size may not be set correctly.
• Register the pattern again.
The registered pattern may not be the opti-
mum one.
E121
Decode Error
(Timing pattern detection error
in X direction)
No timing pattern in the X direction could be
detected, and correct decoding was not possi-
ble. The timing pattern in the X direction may
be stained or damaged.
• Check the condition of the timing pattern.
E122
Decode Error
(Timing pattern detection error
in Y direction)
No timing pattern in the Y direction could be
detected, and correct decoding was not possi-
ble. The timing pattern in the Y direction may
be stained or damaged.
• Check the condition of the timing pattern.
E123
Decode Error
(Cell recognition error)
Codes were restored to correct errors, but not
decoded correctly.
Data of DataMatrix may be stained or dam-
aged.
• Check the condition of the data part of the
code.
• Register the pattern again.
The registered pattern may not be the opti-
mum one.
• Increase the size of the code image.
The cell recognition coordinates may be
incorrect.
