Setting Reading Conditions
Pattern Registration
The finder pattern image is registered as a pattern.
Up to ten patterns can be registered for one scene, and
Code Settings
and
Search Region
are
set for each of these patterns. Registering multiple patterns enables reliable reading even if
there is dispersion in the dot spacing and printing quality. In addition, if codes with different
matrix sizes and symbol colors are registered as patterns, multiple codes can be read in one
scene. This makes scene changes unnecessary.
For details on the registration method, see
SECTION 4 Basic Operations
step2 Set Reading
Conditions
.
Refer to page 79 (Sec.4).
Up to 10 patterns can be registered.
DataMatrix and QRCode cannot be mixed in pattern registrations.
When registering patterns, ensure a margin of at least one cell around the code.
Use the teaching function for pattern registration.
When registering patterns, be sure to carry out reading by trigger input and complete teaching for
each pattern registration. You cannot register patterns consecutively without performing teaching
processing.
