Quick Start Guide

Setup and Installation
The following steps will walk you through
the installation process.
Switch the power button to the
ON
position.

scanner configuration manager utility.
STEP1

Power On
Connect the power supply cable to
the bottom of the MS842RB and to
an electrical outlet. Charge for at
least 5 hours.

Begin Pairing

Plug the power supply cable into the
MS842RB cradle and into an electrical
outlet. Plug the interface cable into the
MS842RB cradle. You must also
connect it to the USB port on your
computer. Charge for at least 5 hours.

The following steps will enable a direct
connection between MS842RB and the
host, without the cradle. First, scan here
to activate cradle-less mode.

Scan the barcode below to begin pairing
the MS842RB using the cradle.
STEP4

Go to your device (phone/tablet/computer) settings
and turn the Bluetooth function on.
The MS842RB will appear on your device as
“HID Scanner” or “BT HID Scanner
”Select/Press “HID Scanner”
Turn Bluetooth On

Scan the barcode label that appears under the
cradle. The scanner will beep one time and the
LED light will blink to indicate the pairing process
has been successful. Your device is now ready to
use.
STEP5

Open a word processing program such

If the word “Unitech” appears on the
screen you have succesfully installed
your scanner.
Test and Finish

You will now enter a pincode to pair the
MS842RB with your device. Scan here to
indicate the beginning of the pincode
sequence. (Please follow the instruction on
the rihgt for alphanumeric barcodes setting)

Scan the alphanumeric barcodes according to the pin code.Once finished
scanning the pin code input, Scan “Enter” barcode to exit the mode.
