This chapter provides information on the use of advanced functions of the
Inverter for operation.
Refer to this chapter to use the various advanced functions, such as stall
prevention, carrier frequency setting, overtorque detection, torque com-
pensation, and slip compensation.

Setting the Carrier Frequency
The carrier frequency of the 3G3JV can be fixed or varied in proportion to
the output frequency.

The default setting does not need any changes in normal operation.

Change the default setting in the following cases.
The wiring distance between the Inverter and motor is long:
Set the Inverter to a lower carrier frequency.
Reference carrier frequency:
10 kHz at a maximum wiring distance of 100 m
and 5 kHz at a wiring distance exceeding 100 m.
Excessive speed or torque dispersion at low speed:
Set the carrier frequency to a lower value.
