Outline of Host Link/NT Link Operation
This section explains the fundamentals when using the host link/NT link - allo-
cated bits and words, and the method for control of the NT620S/620C and notifi-
cation to the PC, and also describes the actual procedure used for screen switch-
ing.

5-1-2 Allocatable Bits and Words
The following bits and words are allocated to the PC and used for the
NT620S/620C operation. The range of respective area varies with the type of
PC. Refer to Appendix L “PC Memory Map” (page 327).
The allocations must be made without exceeding respective area range.

When allocating a memory table to words, the allocation must not exceed the
word area.
Since the special auxiliary relays of the CV series PCs are allocated to the sys-
tem, they cannot be used for purposes other than the system use. However,
reading from them is possible.
One allocation word of the memory table can use continuous areas of up to 2
words in the case of numeral memory table or 20 words in the case of character-
string memory table.
