Communications Function
The E5CZ/AZ/EZ is provided with a communications function that enables
parameters to be checked and set from a host computer. If the communica-
tions function is required, use a model that has that function

. Use the following
procedure to move to the communications setting level.

1.
Press the

key for at least 3 seconds to move from the operation level to
the initial setting level.
2.
Press the
O
key for less than 1 second to move from the initial setting level
to the communications setting level.
3.
Select the parameters as shown below by pressing the
M
key.
4.
Press the
U
or
D
key to change the parameter setting.
Note
The “protocol setting” parameter is displayed only when CompoWay/F com-
munications are being used.
Setting Communications
Data
Match the communications specifications of the E5CZ/AZ/EZ and the host
computer. If a 1:N connection is being used, ensure that the communications
specifications for all devices in the system (except the communications Unit
No.) are the same.
