ADJUSTING PROCESSING PARAMETERS
Threshold
Sets the input threshold level at which the gate begins to open.
Target
Sets the target “resting” level of attenuation for the gate when closed. Also known as the “floor” in some other gates.
Hold
Delays the “closing” of the gate by the specified amount of time when the input level falls below the threshold.
Release
Sets the speed (in dB per second) at which the gate closes once the input level falls below the specified threshold
and the hold time has passed.
3-Band Noise Gate (Advanced Controls)
The 3-Band Noise Gate advanced controls are virtually identical to the basic controls but add additional metering,
access to band coupling adjustments, and access to each band’s controls individually.
Metering (Advanced)
In addition to displaying input levels, the “Advanced” tab displays the attenuation applied by the gate to each band.
