DP Technical Information Guide
Selecting Drivers To Be Uninstalled
This will allow the previous versions of the drivers to be removed
from all of the ports.
1
Select the desired printer driver. Highlight the printer to be
Uninstalled from the client workstations.
2
Select uninstall as the action to be performed.
3
The port and path information will not be necessary, so these
options will be grayed out.
Saving The Changes To A Configuration File
There are four different ways the CDI Admin Utility can save the
changes:
1
Select the OK button. If no file had been previously selected, the
Browse function will appear to allow the directory and filename to
be selected. After the changes are saved, the utility stops executing.
2
By pulling down on the File menu the Save option can be selected.
This will allow the change to be written to disk, and further changes
can be made to the same file. If this file has not been saved before,
the Browse function will appear to allow the directory and filename
to be selected.
3
Select the Save As option from the File menu. This will allow the
current information to be written to a new file.
4
Select the Exit option from the File menu. This will allow changes
to be saved prior to closing the utility. If the current file and path are
empty, a Browse window will allow the selection of the location to
save the changes.
It is recommended that the Configuration file be named
‘WDRVINST.INF’ and it should be placed in the same
location as the Xerox CDI utility. This file contains
parameters that are used by WDRVINST.EXE, the
application which installs the printer drivers under
Windows.
