A
warning
message
appears
to
indicate
the
detection
of
oscillations
and
the
disabling
of
Pipette
Capacitance
Neutralization.
To
prevent
the
warning
message
from
appearing
again
check
“Don’t
tell
me
again”
in
the
warning
dialog.
Alternatively,
go
to
the
Options
/
General
tab,
and
uncheck
the
“Show
warning
when
oscillation
suppressed”
option.
Instead
of
disabling
Neutralization
entirely,
you
can
choose
to
reduce
it
iteratively
by
1
pF
steps
until
oscillations
are
no
longer
detected.
Voltage
Clamp
In
voltage
‐
clamp
mode
oscillations
are
suppressed
by
changing
the
Gain
setting.
Current
Injection
Resistor,
R
0
The
current
injection
resistor
in
the
headstage
is
automatically
detected
and
displayed
in
the
R
0
field
at
the
top
of
the
Headstage
tabs.
All
relevant
parameters
in
the
Commander
interface
are
adjusted
based
on
this
value
for
the
resistor.
Holding
The
Holding
command
is
located
at
the
top
of
both
V
‐
Clamp
and
I
‐
Clamp
tabs.
It
has
an
on/off
checkbox
and
adjustable
field
for
voltage
(V
‐
Clamp)
or
current
(I
‐
Clamp)
settings.
The
Holding
command
is
available
in
both
voltage
‐
clamp
and
current
‐
clamp
modes.
In
voltage
‐
clamp
mode,
Holding
allows
the
user
to
apply
a
membrane
DC
holding
potential
of
±200
mV.
In
current
‐
clamp
mode,
Holding
allows
the
user
to
apply
a
DC
holding
current
of:
