Specifying Network Settings for Accounts
By registering accounts, the number of prints can be restricted for each
account or, if access codes are specified, unauthorized use of the copier
can be restricted. By managing the accounts, the transmission of
anonymous e-mail can be prevented.
The procedure for specifying network settings for accounts is described
below.
For details on specifying account management settings, refer to “Account
Management Operations” in the Advanced Operations volume of the
copier’s User Manual.
In order to specify network setting, certain software switch settings must
be specified. For details on specifying software switch settings, refer to
“Specifying Report Output Settings” on page 13-41
.

To identify which account sent e-mail messages are sent from
(software switch: mode 366, bit 5 set to 1), specify the From e-mail
address.

To receive authentication from the POP3 server before the e-mail is
sent to the SMTP server (software switch: mode 350, bit 6 set to 1),
specify a POP3 user name and POP3 password.
