Requesting/Returning the Activity Report

G

This unit can be set to request from the recipient a reception result for 
Internet faxes.
In addition, if there was a request from the sender or if the fax was not 
received correctly, an e-mail message (MDN or DSN) can be returned 
to inform the recipient of the reception result for the e-mail message.

G

In order to request a result notification, the recipient must also have a 
machine that is compatible with the full mode.
For details, refer to 

“Specifies Settings Concerning Full Mode 

Functions With Internet Faxing (Mode 373)” on page 13-56

.

For details on specifying the setting for the “Activity Report” parameter, 
refer to page 3-16.

Conditions for sending a result notification

G

If there is a request from the sender for a result notification, the result 
notification is sent back.

G

The result notification is sent back if reception result error code 
[E6xxxx] appeared. Refer to 

“Transmission Results Error Codes” on 

page 15-3

.

Full mode compatibility

G

When sending an Internet fax, the reception result at the recipient's 
side can be checked. In addition, the receiving performance of the 
recipient’s machine can be detected when sending Internet faxes and 
the data can be sent using a transmission method appropriate for the 
recipient’s machine.
In order to use the full mode functions, certain machine settings must 
first be specified. Refer to 

“Specifies Settings Concerning Full Mode 

Functions With Internet Faxing (Mode 373)” on page 13-56

.
