Operation
CSP2008
If
Min Max
has been selected for the error handling, the analog output shows the follow-
ing behavior:
-
Value more than maximum analog output value: output of the maximum permitted
analog value.
-
Value below the minimum analog output value: output of the minimum permitted
analog value.

Analog EtherCAT
The analog EtherCAT terminals extend the choice to output analog measured values
(calculation result). In the Analog EtherCAT menu item you define, which results of the
sensor measured values or of the calculation blocks will be output at the analog Ether-
CAT terminals. The output type (current or voltage) is determined by the type of EtherCAT
terminal.
The specification of minimum and maximum measured values or calculation result is still
required for the analog outputs.
The measured value (calculation result) to be output is automatically scaled in the Ether-
CAT terminal.

Fig. 43 Characteristic for an analog output with 0 ... 10 V
The analog output value is produced according to the formula:
Analog value =
* Output range + Min. analog value
Measured value - Min. output value
Max. output value - Min. output value
Example: Current output with 0 ... 10 mA, Min. Output Value = 0,
Max. Output Value = +30 mm, Measured Value = 12 mm;
thus output range = 10 mA, Min. Analog Value = 0 mA
Analog value =
* 10 V + 0 V = 4.0 V

Error handling
Error values directly from the sensor or errors which occur during the calculation in the
controller can be selected for each analog output and output at the analog outputs. Vari-
ants:
-
keep last value
-
output minimum/maximum value
If
Min Max
has been selected for the error handling, the analog output shows the follow-
ing behavior:
-
Value more than maximum analog output value: output of the maximum permitted
analog value.
-
Value below the minimum analog output value: output of the minimum permitted
analog value.
