Assigning Network Membership
NOTE:
This feature is only applicable to reassign the default membership of the management
network.
To change the Membership of a Network/Partition:
Step 1
In the Port Info window (Figure
13-10), under the
Networks accessed by selected port/s
section, select the network port from the list (in our example Bob).
Step 2
Under
Membership (IB Only)
set the membership for this network to Full or Partial, as
desired.
Step 3
Click
Update Members
.
Step 4
Click
Apply
and
OK
to save your changes. The changes will only be effective if you click
Apply
.
Alternatively, you can change the default membership from the Networks Table, as follows:
Step 1
Right-click the Network Table and select
Change Default Management
.

A configuration message appears prompting for confirmation change from default membership
to partial. Click
Yes
to confirm the change.

Mapping an InfiniBand Partition to an Ethernet VLAN via the 10 GbE
Gateway
Mapping an InfiniBand partition to an Ethernet VLAN is performed via the 10 GbE Gateway
whose ports are assigned to the VLAN. The 10 GbE Gateway can provide up to 16 interfaces.
