MIB Support
The Mellanox
Management Information Base (MIB)
is a database used to manage the
Mellanox devices (objects) via an external SNMP manager or MIB Viewer. This feature
allows the user to access the Mellanox device configuration and modify it by performing the
changes in the private MIB file supplied by Mellanox.
The Mellanox private MIB provides the same features and functionality supported by the
GridVision GUI (Device Manager and Fabric Manager).
You can download the Mellanox private MIB from the Mellanox Support site. Once opened in
a SNMP manager, the MIB file allows the user to manage all agents as is being done via the
GUI.
Supported Protocols and Standards
Mellanox supports the following standards and protocols:
SNMPv2c protocol
Standard Mibs including: mib-2 system, mib-2 ifMIB (IF-MIB ,ifXTable), mib-2
interface (RFC1213-MIB ,ifTable).

Security Support
6.10.1
Overview
This section introduces the Grid Switch features including detailed practical guidelines
showing how configure each security type.
Mellanox provides security for its sRB-20210G implementing secure protocols (SCP) and
disabling non-secured protocols.
You can disable ports port through the VDM. Set up your system according to your security
needs by using the commands listed in this section.
IMPORTANT:
You cannot connect to the sRB-20210G through the SSH protocol. However, you can use
SSH with the Grid Director and use the following command to connect to the sRB-20210G:
