2. The SM initializes each HCA or gateway port partition table.
NOTE:
Make sure that your host network interface is configured. Refer to the User Manual of your
host for specific instructions. If using an HCA, refer to the OFED User Manual.
3. The SA answers PKey path queries by looking for a common PKey between the two
end nodes.
4. IPoIB is used to create multiple IP domains, one for each partition, providing
name/address resolution. Each IPoIB instance uses a separate QP (Queue Pair)
associated with a separate PKey partition.
5. Each Multicast group is associated with a partition. In the case of IPoIB, there is a
well-known MGID - PKey mapping.

13.4.1
Switch Settings (GUI)
1. Go to the VFM Subnet Tree and select
Networks
.
2. Right-click the
Networks Window
and select
Create Network.
3. Enter the name of the network, the IP, the PKey, and the VLAN Tag.
4. Go to the subnet tree and click
Site Topology
.
5. Select the host to which you want to add to the partition.
6. Right click the host and select
Partitioning.
7. Select the network to which you want to add your host and add it to the list.
NOTE:
You can set the network membership to Partial or Full membership.

sRB-20210G Settings (GUI)
You can create a VLAN combining an InfiniBand Network and an Ethernet Network by
attaching the 10G port as follows:
1. Go to the VFM Subnet Tree and double click the sRB-20210G.
2. Verify that the sRB-20210G has an IP address. If there is an IP address, proceed to the
following step.
3. If there is no IP address (the IP is 0.0.0.0), switch to the VDM to set the sRB-20210G
configuration then reopen the sRB-20210G VFM (see note at the end of this section).
4. Create a new network with the desired tag as follows: go to the VFM Subnet Tree,
select Networks, right-click the
Networks Window,
and select
Create Network
. Enter
the required information.
5. Go to the
Map View
and select the switch in which the sRB-20210G is installed.
