Mode:
enable
(always)
– Means that the sRB-20210G gateway (router) automatically
connects to the cluster. Mode options are: auto or disabled.
Loopback protection algorithm:
Default is
full
– Loop back protection prevents
gateways from transferring packets in an infinite loop. This mechanism prevents loops
between gateways. When they are in a cluster configuration, they can get into a loop.
When used back-to-back, the loopback protection should be
none
. However, Mellanox
does not recommend working in this back-to-back mode.
Parameter
Description
State (Active-Active
State)
sRB-20210G Gateways detect each other automatically.
Auto
(default and only option)
– this field is grayed out and is
automatically configured by the system. It cannot be changed.
Priority (Active-Active
Priority)
Once detected automatically the sRB-20210G Gateways are
sorted according to priority. The highest priority sRB-20210G
becomes master.
Range (0 - 255)
Default: 100
Hash Table Algorithm
In Active-Active mode, the load balancing is performed
according to the hash algorithm (xor IB eth, IB, Eth).
XOR InfiniBand Ethernet
(Default)
– mathematical operation
performed between IB and Eth IP addresses.
IB
(InfiniBand)
– IP address of the InfiniBand Host for any
Ethernet address
Eth
(Ethernet) - IP address of the Ethernet Host for any
InfiniBand address
Loopback protection
Loop back protection prevents loops between gateways.
Options:
full/none
Default:
full
Note that when used back-to-back, the loopback protection
should be set to OFF. However, Mellanox recommends against
working in this mode.
