Fuel System: LPG 1G-20

CAUTION

!

 

Hold the Cover Low pressure side while removing the Screws (13)

 

13) Remove Regulator group (15) and Spring (16).
14) Rotate Diaphragm to 90° with PRD group (17) in order to unlock it from Lever group (21) and remove PRD group 

(17) with O-ring (18).

15) Remove plastic plate (19).
16) Unscrew two Screws (20) and remove Lever group (21) with Pin (22).
17) Clean the components of LPG pressure regulator other than replaced.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure for installation noting the following.
• Use new O-rings (12), (18), (8), (3), Inlet fitting group (4), Lever group (21) and Diaphragm with PRD group (17).
• Tighten six screws (10) and (13) to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Screw (a):  9.5 N·m (0.95 kgf-m, 7.00 lbf-ft)

• Tighten Inlet Fitting Group (4) to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Inlet Fitting Group (a):  20 N·m (2.0 kgf-m, 14.75 lbf-ft)

• Tighten two screws (20) and (5) to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Screw (a):  2.5 N·m (0.25 kgf-m, 1.84 lbf-ft)

• Tighten screw (6) to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Screw (a):  1.0 N·m (0.1 kgf-m, 0.73 lbf-ft)

• Tighten Nut (2) to specified torque.

Tightening torque
Nut (a):  16 N·m (1.6 kgf-m, 11.8 lbf-ft)

• Check for LPG fuel leaks.

LPG Valve Control Relay Inspection

Refer to “Control Relay Inspection” in Section 10B in 
related manual mentioned in the Foreword of this 
manual.

LPG Tank with Tank Valve On-Vehicle 
Inspection

AENAR90A1706026

1) Check LPG tank and LPG tank valve for cracks, 

deformation or damage. If any faulty condition is 
found, replace LPG tank with valve.

2) Check LPG tank and LPG tank valve for LPG fuel 

leakage. If faulty condition is found, replace LPG 
tank with valve.

3) Check the shut-off valve resistance and operation 

sound as follows.
a) Disconnect negative (–) cable at battery.
b) Disconnect shut-off valve connector.
c) Using ohmmeter, check resistance between 

terminals of shut-off valve (1).

If check result is not satisfactory, replace LPG 
tank with valve.
