5) Install exhaust camshaft timing sprocket to camshaft
as follows.
a) Install special tool (A) to exhaust camshaft.

(A): 09914M06310
b) Align painted link (1) of timing chain with match
mark (2) on exhaust camshaft timing sprocket.
c) Install exhaust camshaft timing sprocket to
exhaust camshaft.
6) Using special tool, tighten exhaust camshaft timing
sprocket bolt (1) to specified torque as follows.
a) With hexagonal section of exhaust camshaft held
stationary with spanner or adjustable wrench.
b) Tighten exhaust camshaft timing sprocket bolt
(1) to specified torque by using special tool.

Tightening torque
Exhaust camshaft timing sprocket bolt (a): 60
N·m (6.1 kgf-m, 44.5 lbf-ft)
CAUTION
!
In case of extension special tool combined
with torque wrench, reading value of torque
wrench is smaller than specified tightening
torque. When using extension special tool,
reading value should be calculated according
to formula below.
M = T X L / (L + “a”)
• M: Reading value using extension special tool
• T: Specified torque
• L: Torque wench length
• “a”: Dimension of special tool
7) Confirm that painted links (2) of timing chain are
aligned with match marks (1) on intake and exhaust
camshaft timing sprocket.
8) Remove timing chain tensioner fixing bolt from
timing chain cover.
9) Install timing chain cover plug (1) with new gasket
(2), and tighten timing chain cover plug to specified
torque.
Tightening torque
Timing chain cover plug (a): 25 N·m (2.5 kgf-m,
18.5 lbf-ft)
