26) Remove engine right and left mounting bracket bolt
(1) and nuts (2).
27) Before removing engine, make sure that all hoses,
electric wires and cables are disconnected from
engine.
28) Lower engine assembly with transaxle, front
suspension frame, drive shafts, P/S gear case all
together.
CAUTION
!
While lowering engine assembly, keep
clearance with removed A/C compressor in
order to avoid damage to A/C compressor.
29) Remove front suspension frame from engine rear
mounting if necessary.
30) Remove engine mountings, engine mounting
brackets, and engine mounting bracket components
if necessary.
31) Remove following components from engine
assembly if necessary.
• Engine harness
• Transaxle:
• Clutch cover and disc:
• Flywheel:
)
Installation
1) Install following components to engine assembly if
removed.
• Flywheel:
)
• Clutch cover and clutch disc:
• Transaxle:
• Engine harness
2) Install front suspension frame, engine mountings,
engine mounting brackets and engine mounting
bracket components, and then tighten bolts to
specified torque if removed.
)
Tighten engine harness ground bolt (1) with engine
harness ground cable to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Engine harness ground bolt (a): 11 N·m (1.1 kgf-
m, 8.5 lbf-ft)
3) Lift engine assembly with transaxle, front suspension
frame, drive shafts and P/S gear case all together.
CAUTION
!
While lifting engine assembly, keep clearance
with removed A/C compressor in order to
avoid damage to A/C compressor.
4) Tighten engine right and left mounting bracket bolts
(1) and nuts (2) to specified torque.
