Scala2 | Version 5 | Maintenance and Troubleshooting
1.
You can use the following types of messages to check the state of the system:
•
Sonar Data
: Inputs from narrow band sensors (digital communication). At each ping of the
sensor, shows one message for raw data. One message contains the type data sent by the
sensor, the node number, the direction of the ping and the hydrophone that best receives data.
•
Sensor Data
: Inputs from PRP sensors. At each ping of the sensor, shows one message for raw
data. One message contains the type and value of data sent by the sensor, the node number and
the hydrophone that best receives data.
Tip:
Sonar Data
and
Sensor Data
: Expand these messages to see the SNR and noise
level of the hydrophones. This helps identifying on which hydrophone data are better
received.
•
Squid heartbeat
: Shows if Scala2 communicates with the receiver.
•
Heartbeat
: Shows if Scala2 communicates with the Mx processor.
•
NMEA
: Displays full NMEA sentences that are received. Read these messages to check if NMEA
sentences from external devices (such as a GPS) are correctly decoded.
2.
Filter
: Type keywords to filter the messages.
3.
Sources
: Mx receiver(s) and external devices.
4.
Log to File
: Export incoming messages into a text file.
Filtering
Use the panel on the right side of the window to filter the messages:
• To display only specific types of messages or sources, select them in the
Types
and
Sources
areas. All messages are displayed if no check box is selected.
