Reverse the steps for removing the exit transport module and tipper module, making sure not to
squeeze any wires between the module and other parts of the device.
4)
Re-connect the MSR cable to the exit transport module:
a)
Connect the MSR cable to the flex cable inside the left side of the exit transport.
b)
Tuck any slack under the exit transport.
5)
If you are installing the modules in an ExpressCard 3000, reverse the steps to re-route and re-connect
the foil sensor cable the same way (see
a)
Find the foil sensor cable attached to the exit transport module.
b)
Route the cable through the cord clip on the top deck near the embosser height sticker.
c)
Route the foil sensor cable under the embosser cable.
d)
Connect the foil sensor cable to
SPARE #3
on the sensor connector cable.
e)
Re-connect the embosser cable, and press down on both sides of the connector to make sure it is
all the way in.
f)
Re-tie any cables you had to cut free.
6)
Re-connect the exit transport cable.
7)
Re-install the tipper module (see section
5.25 How to Remove / Re-install the Tipper Module
reference).
8)
Re-install the tipper foil cartridge with the original tipper foil roll, or obtain and install a new one
from the customer.
9)
Perform any additional service that requires the device to be powered off and open.
10)
Re-install the cover and top access door by following the steps in sections
11)
Close the top access door.
12)
Re-attach the power cable, network cable, and any security hardware.
13)
Power on the device.
14)
On the touchscreen, navigate to
Menu
>
Samples
, create a sample card, and make sure the device
functions properly and the sample looks correct.
