Remove
Follow these steps to remove the image printer module:
1)
Make sure the image printer looks like the one shown in
. Colors may vary, but the shape
should not. If the image printer you are replacing has a different shape, see section
Remove / Re-install the Image Printer Module (EC2000 with ECP2, EC3000
2)
If you are replacing any modules that do NOT require silicone adhesive, replace those first. That will
reduce the risk of breaking the image printer power connector’s adhesive during other service.
3)
Prepare the device for replacing parts by following the steps in section
Device for Removing / Re-installing Modules
. At the end, the device should be powered down with
all external cables safely disconnected and the hopper shuttle parked near the front of the device.
4)
Disengage and lean back the top access door by following the steps in section
Re-install the Top Access Door
up to the point where the top access door is leaning up and back
behind the device (
5)
Remove the image printer ribbon and set it aside in a secure location or give it to the customer for
temporary storage or secure disposal.
6)
On the rear right side of the image printer, locate the power cable shown in

any adhesive securing it to its connector, and disconnect it.

From the power connector, look left across the rear wall of EC2000, past a motor, to a circuit board
with several white connectors. Find connector
J31
on the circuit board, and unplug the black
insulated cable from it (see
). This is the image printer USB cable.
