Remove
Follow these steps to remove the image printer module:
1)
Make sure the image printer looks like the one shown in
Colors may vary, but the shape should not. If it does not look like the image printer you are
replacing, see the replacement instructions for the other printer type in section
Re-install the Image Printer Module (EC2000 with ECP1)

Prepare the device for replacing parts by following the steps in section
Device for Removing / Re-installing Modules
. At the end, the device should be powered down with
all external cables safely disconnected and the hopper shuttle parked near the front of the device.

Move the XY transport carriage to the front of the device.

Remove the top access door (see section
5.5 How to Remove / Re-install the Top Access Door
).
Depending on how easily you can access the device, you may choose to stop at the point where the
top access door is leaned all the way back out of the way.
5)
Remove the image printer ribbon and set it aside in a secure location or give it to the customer for
temporary storage or secure disposal.
6)
Unclip the cables that run over the image printer’s base plate on the rear right side, and make sure
they are out of the way for easier removal.
7)
Use the 5/32” hex wrench to remove the 2 screws and washers that hold the right side of the image
printer onto the top deck plate, and set them aside.
