• Before removing the storage device, make a backup copy of all the information on it, and then turn

off the computer.

• Never remove the storage device while the computer is operating, in sleep mode, or in hibernation mode.

To replace the M.2 solid-state drive, do the following:

1. Turn off the computer; then disconnect the ac power adapter and all cables from the computer. Wait

three to five minutes to let the computer cool.

2. Close the computer display and turn the computer over. Then remove the removable battery. See

“Replacing the removable battery ” on page 117.

3. Remove the bottom cover. See “Replacing the bottom cover” on page 120.

4. Remove the screw that secures the M.2 solid-state-drive tray

, and then pull out the tray with the

M.2 solid-state drive out

5. Remove the screw that secures the M.2 solid-state drive

, and then push out the M.2 solid-state

drive slightly as shown by arrow
