6.2.2 V-insert

The V-insert
is mounted in the hole
provided in the lower movable jaw of the standard
specimen clamp. This makes it possible to clamp
round specimens in the standard specimen
clamp.
• Turn the knurled screw
counterclockwise to move the movable jaw
• Insert the pin
lower jaw
• Mount the specimen as required.
• Turn the knurled screw
clockwise to move the movable jaw with
the V-insert upward against the fixed jaw to
securely clamp the sample.
6.2.3 Foil clamp type 1
The foil clamp type 1 is appropriate both for clamping very small and thin foil pieces and flat, angular
specimens. It is mounted in the standard specimen clamp.

by using the Allen key.
