Set FEATURE CODES
The FEATURE CODES menu (
) will show the STE feature setting as either STANDARD or
NONSTANDARD as represented by “aaaaaaaaaaaa”. These features reflect the ability of the switch to
support conference calls, call transfer, or call drop.

1. The default setting is STANDARD. To change the setting in any of the features, press
SELECT
to advance the display to the CONFERENCE FEATURE CODE menu (Paragraph
2. If a change in not required or after making a new setting, press
SCROLL
to advance the display
to the ADVANCED TERMINAL SETTINGS FOR INSTALLATION PERSONNEL menu

2-5.8.1 Set CONFERENCE FEATURE CODE
The CONFERENCE FEATURE CODE menu (
) shows the setting used to match the STE to
the switch for conference call capabilities. The default setting is “060”.

1. To change an existing code to one listed in
CHANGE
to advance the display to
the ENTER CONFERENCE FEATURE CODE menu (

2. Using
the
DIAL PAD KEYS
, enter the feature value from the table and press
STORE
. The valid
range, represented by “nnn” is between 000 and 127. If you make a mistake during the entry
process, use
DELETE
to erase the last digit entered. This works like a “backspace” function.
a. If the entry is valid, less than 128, the display returns to the CONFERENCE FEATURE
CODE menu (
STORE
is pressed.
b. If the entered code is greater than 127, an INVALID ENTRY menu will be displayed. Enter
the correct code, less 128, and press
STORE
. The STE returns to the CONFERENCE
FEATURE CODE menu (
3. Pressing ABORT, at any time, returns the display to the CONFERENCE FEATURE CODE menu
