Figure 9-16 provides the third page of the DEFINITY configuration screen. This page provides the
programming information for what Abbreviated Dialing lists you will be able to access and the button
programming on the STE.

Abbreviated Dialing lists should be provided to the switch administrator so they may be
programmed into the switch. Up to 100 numbers can be assigned to each of three lists for each
user. Lists can be personal, shared with a group or shared with the entire switch.

Button Assignments must be configured to program any call appearances or shared call
appearances on the first six buttons. The call appearances must be in contiguous order. A button
may be skipped, but a button between call appearances may not be assigned a feature. The
remaining buttons up to and including eight should be assigned any features that require an LED
annunciator. Buttons nine and ten should only be assigned features that do not require LED
annunciators. In this example, that number will be 4. See Paragraph
9-7.1.2 for more information
on the Last Call Appearance value.
NOTE
The Last Call Appearance value must be entered into the STE for proper
operation.
