Remote Control Operations
Rel. 2.6
8-13
8-5.2.12 ATM1
Un-muted – Restores voice transmission (unless block for other reasons). Only valid when the STE is off-
hook in the Command State with or without an active call. Will return 0/OK result code. If already un-
muted, will remain un-muted and return 0/OK. S33 bit 0 indicates mute/unmute status (0=un-muted,
1=muted)
8-5.2.13 ATO[0]
Return the STE to the Online Traffic State from the Command State and returns the appropriate
CONNECT result code. For a data call, it results in the re-establishment of traffic flow. For a voice call,
traffic is not suspended while in the Command State. A resynchronize is performed, if required.
8-5.2.14 ATQ[0]
Sets bit 2 of register S14 to “0” and enables result codes being returned to the DTE.
8-5.2.15 ATQ1
Sets bit 2 of register S14 to “1” and inhibits result codes from being returned to the DTE.
8-5.2.16 ATSn=x
Writes value “x” into S-register “n”. Refer to Paragraph
for rules and limitations of each S-
register. Return the 0/OK result code, or and ERROR if the command cannot be performed.
8-5.2.17 ATSn?
Returns the value stored in S-register “n” followed by the OK result code, or an ERROR if the S-register is
not implemented.
8-5.2.18 ATV[0]
Sets bit 3 of register S14 to “0” and causes short form (1 or 2 digit decimal) result codes to be returned to
the DTE.
8-5.2.19 ATV1
Sets bit 3 of register S14 to “1” and causes long form (verbose) result codes to be returned to the DTE.
8-5.2.20 ATXn
Bits 6, 5 and 4 of register S22 are set to reflect the operating mode (Xn) setting.
a. ATX0 – bits set to 0, 0 and 0 respectively
b. ATX1 – bits set to 1, 0 and 0 respectively
c. ATX2 – bits set to 1, 0 and 1 respectively
d. ATX3 – bits set to 1, 1 and 0 respectively
e. ATX4 – bits set to 1, 1 and 1 respectively
8-5.2.21 ATZ1
Resets the STE with the crypto card inserted (the normal configuration for the units operating under
remote control) by performing a reboot operation.
For a Data STE or STE-R, when reset is complete and the STE had been in Remote Control, the STE will
re-enter the Remote Control mode, the S registers will be set to factory defaults and an OK result code
will be returned to the DTE as a normal result of entering Remote Control. If the Data STE or STE-R was
in Local Mode, it will stay in Local Mode.
For an Office or Tactical STE, when reset is complete, the STE will remain in Local Mode.
8-5.2.22 AT&B3
Causes the STE to send the Audit Record. The STE Audit Record consists of the record of terminal
privilege changes, and the record of software updates, and is sent to the DTE as a verbose ASCII string
framed by carriage returns and line feed characters (as defined by S3 and S4). This is regardless of the Q
and V settings. If the terminal is off-hook, sends the error result code to the DTE.
