10-2.2.4 STE Toolset Program Functions
The following section lists the STE Toolset Program software functions:
•
One Virtual Front Panel configuration uses the STE-R, when you enable the STE-R Local Mode
menu item. This function provides you with an indication of the hook switch status, and provides
a hook switch capability. It is displayed when the STE Toolset Program software is configured for
STE-R operations with local mode enabled. Refer to Paragraph
•
The display shows you a visual indication of the Tone command, and sends a generic tone to the
computer running the STE Toolset Program. The visual indication is of a speaker with a “thought
cloud.” The thought cloud is color-coded: white for a positive tone; yellow for a negative tone.
•
We use the Toolset Program executable name as the Virtual Front Panel form caption (see
Paragraph
) and as the name of the INI and LOG files.
Use this feature to create and rename multiple copies of the executable, to reflect the controlled
STE-R. It also allows multiple copies to work independently.
•
You can save the screen position of the main window, to support running multiple program
instances.
•
The release version name is in the caption of the Software Download window
•
You can set override combo boxes to skip a download with a single button-click (see
•
You can enter captions into button label areas (see
•
You can open the download log file from within STE Toolset Program (see
