4-3.1 Install
TPA
Password
1. Insert the TPA Card into STE.
2. Access the Change TPA Password menu (
) as follows: Press
MENU

and
MODIFY
.
If the TPA card has not been previously validated, the STE will validate the TPA Crypto Card for
approximately 30 seconds and then advance the display to the TERMINAL CONFIGURATION
CONTROL menu. Then press
SELECT
and
SCROLL
to advance to the CHANGE TPA
PASSWORD menu.

3. The ENTER NEW TPA PASSWORD menu (
) is displayed. Use the

to enter a password. The password field is limited to 10 characters (digits 0-9).

Available when first digit of the password is entered in line 2. Acts as a “backspace” by
deleting the last character entered.

4. After the password is processed, the display will flash the PASSWORD CHANGE
SUCCESSFUL menu (not shown) until

is pressed. The display is returned to the
TERMINAL CONFIGURATION CONTROL menu (Paragraph
4-3.2 Transfer
Privileges
To transfer the TPA privileges to another crypto card, a new card (fill or another User Card) must be
obtained, and inserted, that contains the proper algorithms and keys that the STE will use to validate that
the card is legitimate. Access the TRANSFER TPA PRIVILEGE menu as follows:
1. Press

until the menu (
) appears in the display.
