Non-Secure Voice Not possible if STE is strapped for Secure-Only.
Secure Voice
Go off-hook and enter the number you wish to call. Once a secure connection has
been established, your STE will display the identification information of the call. To
view additional security information about the call press
SCROLL
. Information that
cannot be validated (e.g., Caller ID) is enclosed by parenthesis.
Secure Data
Go off-hook and press
SECDATA
, then enter the number you wish to call. Once
dialing has begun, the call initiation mode cannot be changed until the call is
connected.
Once a secure connection has been established, your STE will display the
identification information of the call. To view additional security information about
the call press,
SCROLL
. Information that cannot be validated (e.g., Caller ID) is
enclosed by parenthesis.

Off-Hook Menu ISDN - Answering Calls
When the STE is on-hook and an incoming call is being received, the display will show the line and calling
number. In the sample display (
), LINEx is the ISDN line and the <Calling Number> will be
displayed if Caller ID is available.

The two Soft Keys presented in the third line are:
Press Result
CLEAR
Silences the ringer and clears the display but keeps the call connected.
REJECT
Disconnects the calls at the switch. Therefore, the ringer silenced and display
cleared.
When the STE is taken off-hook (handset picked up,
SPKR
pressed or the corresponding
CALL
pressed), all information is displayed (
Figure 7-10
).
