The stability of the vehicle in all tail lift operating conditions must be tested in compliance with applicable legislation.
To compensate for frame flexing, which is inevitable when the tail lift is in operation, the bodybuilder may use reinforcement struc-
tures with larger dimensions than those indicated in Table 3.13.
Tail lifts must be installed ensuring that the maximum permissible loads on the rear axle or axles of the vehicle are not exceeded,
and that the minimum load established for the front axle is maintained (see Chapter 1.15 (

Page 11)); If this is not possible, the
rear overhang will have to be reduced.
