Processing Area Ventilation
Process-Site Suction
Depending on the size and shape of the parts being processed, the IX-6168-PS
workstation can be equipped with different suction nozzles that hover over the
processing area (like a small vacuum cleaner nozzle) to remove vapors and airborne
particles created by laser processing. These nozzles connect to a flexible tube that
terminates at the 1-inch NPT fitting on the top of the enclosure. Refer to Figure 84,
"Workstation Ventilation Connections—located on top of the enclosure", on page 10-
1. A suction pump connects to this fitting to draw out the vapors and particles.
