Beam Delivery System

Removing and Reinstalling a Mirror

Occasionally, you might have to remove a mirror for cleaning or replacement.

To remove a mirror for cleaning or replacement:

1. Wear clean, powder-free latex gloves.

2. Loosen the four cover screws and remove the cover.

3. Loosen the three mirror mounting thumbscrews. These are captive and spring-

loaded.

4. Remove the mirror.

When reinstalling a mirror, make sure to position the coated side toward the laser 

beam. Be careful not to smudge the optic during installation. For information about 

proper optic handling, refer to "Beam Delivery System" Chapter 8.
