About Printer Configuration Settings
Printer configuration settings determine how the printer operates.
Printer Configuration Settings
Setting Type
Description
Communications
All communications and network settings:
•
Serial (appears when using serial connection to PC.
Includes virtual COM port settings.)
•
Ethernet (appears when Ethernet module is
installed)
•
Wireless 802.11 (appears when Wi-Fi/Bluetooth
module is installed)
•
Bluetooth (appears when Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module is
installed)
Printing
Configuration settings for media (such as media width
and length), print quality, and performance.
System Settings
Global system settings including printer name,
location, and contact information, display and
keyboard input languages, date and time, unit of
measure, audio volume, and printer command
language.
Display settings including brightness, time and date
format, menu access permissions, and screen timeout.
Enable and disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, or
virtual COM port communications.
Enable and disable services including Intermec
SmartSystems, FTP, Telnet, and others.
Set maintenance alert values for the printer odometer
and other alerts.
Network Services
Enable or disable network services including Intermec
SmartSystems, the web or email servers, and others.
