Alarms and limits

The CardioMax has audio and visual indications of physiological and
technical alarm conditions.
Physiological Alarm
There are two ways to enable the physiological alarm indications:
Asistoly
- the CardioMax cannot detect valid heartbeats for over 4 seconds.
Violation of MAXIMUM or MINIMUM limits
- When the Oximetry, ECG, NIBP, EtCO
2
or
RESP maximum or minimum alarm limits are not within the equipment's preset range.
The visual indications of physiological alarms will occur in any mode except on AED
mode, as well as audible indication.
FEATURES:
• ECG, SpO

, NIBP, RESP or EtCO

(except AED mode): Alarm indicator:
numerical value in white alternating with a red arrow. The direction of the arrow
indicates (up or down) which limit has been exceeded.
• Maximum alarm delay (includes the delay of the alarm status and the signal
generation delay):

Heart rate: 3 seconds.

SpO
2
Saturation: 4 seconds.

EtCO
2
: 11 seconds.

NIBP (systolic, diastolic, average): 1 second.
• Visual frequency: 2 Hz
