Drive bays with drive tray canisters:
The subsystem
comes with twelve (12) drive bays in the front section of
the chassis. Drive trays are designed to be hot-swappable.

LCD keypad panel and handles:
The 2 rows x 16
characters-wide LCD panel is mounted on the left-side
handle. The panel comes with status LEDs, function keys,
and a mute button. (See
Section 1.3.1
)

Rear Panel Overview
The rear views of both the dual-controller and single-controller
subsystems are shown below. The rear panel provides access to all
components located in the rear section of the chassis.

Descriptions of rear panel components:

RAID controller modules:
Each controller module contains a
main circuit board, a pre-installed DDR RAM DIMM module, and
a module bay for the battery backup unit. The circuit board
processes I/O requests and RAID parity computation for data
protection and provides high data throughput for application
servers. (See

)
