100 Chapter 7: Adding and removing adapter cards and drives
Working with the hardware in the
minitower system unit
To work with the hardware components in the system
unit, you must first unplug the system and remove the
system unit cover.
If you plan to add or replace both an adapter card and a
drive, install or replace the drive before you install or
replace the adapter card. If you also plan to make
hardware changes on the system board, see “Adding
and replacing system board components” on page 61
and finish your work with the system board before
continuing to work with drives and adapter cards.
