5. Practical Settings

(4)  After affixing the absolute reset fixture, release the emergency stop switch. 

 

(5)  Open the position data edit window in the PC software and press Alarm button. 

 

 

(6)  Press Servo button

(7)  Press Home button. At this moment, the home position gets established and the home 

position gets memorized. 

 

(8)  Press the emergency stop switch. 

 

(9)  Detach the absolute reset fixture. 

 

(10) After the absolute reset fixture is detached, release the emergency stop switch. 

 

(11) Set the controller back to AUTO Mode. 

 

* 1  When connected to XSEL-RA/SA Controller, by setting PCON or MCON controller to MANU 

Mode or turning the servo ON, there could be a communication error (Error No. 4B0 “Extension 

Motion Control Fieldbus Slave Station Command Detection”) detected. Continue the process. 

Reboot XSEL after absolute reset is complete, and the error will be cancelled. 

 

* 2  For MCON, it is necessary to connect a release switch to the external brake connector. 

 

* 3  If it is necessary to conduct the absolute reset on both B and T-axes, after attaching the 

absolute reset fixture, skip steps (2) to (4) and (8) to (10) and detach the fixture at the last.
